My yoga journey began in July 2009 when a friend said she had found a new “hot” yoga place in St. Charles. Thinking she meant “hot” as in “popular” I had no idea she meant LITERALLY hot.

Imagine my surprise when I walked into the 105 degree room wearing long pants and a long sleeved top! But I was hooked immediately. For a long time I was a hard-core “Original 90 Minute Bikram Only” yogi.

When the studio began introducing other forms of yoga, I reluctantly started attending other classes. I soon realized that Yin was an amazing compliment to my Bikram “yang” practice. In September 2016, I attended training with Doug to become certified to teach Yin. It took me longer to open up to Vinyasa, but with time and persistence, I have grown to really love it.

Yoga has helped me build strength and flexibility both on and off the mat. I believe in balance of all things and yoga provides the healing benefits necessary for a mindful life.

So after practicing for 10 years with Doug and Agata, I decided the next step would be to give back to other yogis the tremendous benefits that I have received.

I completed my 200-hour teacher training in November 2019 and would describe my teaching style as both calming and challenging.

On a personal note, I am a graphic designer and work at Trittenhaus Design, a design studio I have owned and operated since 1999. I live in Sycamore and have two super cool adult kids. When not designing or doing yoga, you will find me pursing my other passion - acting, directing, or set designing in theatre.
